Jenny Schmieding Bjelland offers counseling to individuals, couples and families. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, she believes that sound relationships are built on healthy individuals.

Jenny’s gift for empathy, insight
and the belief in the therapeutic relationship provides a comforting place for her clients to experience personal growth, trust and healing. She believes that a positive counseling experience can support and build the foundation for a happier life.

Jenny specializes in relationships and the complex issues resulting in these relationships. Depression, anxiety, stress, and sexuality are just some of the topics examined and explored both for the individual as well in the context of our relationships with others. Jenny has completed Level II Gottman Method Therapy and bases much of her work on this research based, highly effective form of therapy. Jenny is an instructor for the court mandated Parenting Through Divorce workshop, she shares her extensive knowledge and understanding of the effects of divorce on the family and helps her clients work through these difficult transitions. Jenny is a trained Parent Evaluator for child custody and divorce cases and also serves as a Parenting  Coordinator for the courts when high conflict families are in need of help.

Jenny Schmieding Bjelland has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Montana State University. She has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Psychoanalysis. She is trained through and a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and is also a member of  the American Mental Health Counseling Association. She serves as an adjunct instructor at Montana State University.

Jenny accepts insurance and offers her services on a sliding fee scale if needed. Jenny encourages everyone to experience the wellness that counseling can provide.
